Mind Games

Welcome to our little corner of the internets!

You can call me PisecoMom, and I’m a stay-at-home, eclectically homeschooling mother of two. My husband of 10 years is PisecoDad, we have a 6 year old son, JediBoy and a 2 year old daughter, BabyGirl.

I find myself constantly changing tactics in order to keep up with my two kids, but this year the center of our “thinking time” is taken up by Story of the World Volume 1: The Ancients, Math-U-See, and various online challenges including Unplug Your Kids, Think!, and Muffin Tin Monday for JediBoy, and all sorts of toddler games and learning new words for BabyGirl.

When PisecoDad and I were dating in college, we realized how much fun we had playing board games. We started collecting them and were written up in the local paper for having a “large” collection of about 65 games. After we got married, we loved to hit garage sales for out-of-print games and we read some good reviews about this game called Settlers of Catan. It has been snowballing since then and we now own over 500 games! You’ll read about a few of them here.
