Our family is wildly eclectic when it comes to cooking and eating. We eat fancy and fun meals at home, dinners out with friends, snacks on the go. I love to cook, but there have been plenty of nights, this past year especially, when I couldn’t make dinner for one illness or injury or another.
When I’m out of commission, MechDaddy might serve up macaroni and cheese, peanut butter and jelly, or the gourmet cold cereal with milk. Other nights he runs out to the deli, the sub shop, or the drive-thru.
This month, we had the opportunity to try some Banquet frozen meals. We’d never tried their family-size options, like Salisbury steak, roast turkey, and chicken with broccoli over rice. Of course they’re not as good as homemade, but they are better than fast food or cold cereal, without a doubt! The kids especially liked the chicken with broccoli over rice.
As a way of saying “Thanks a Million” to their loyal customers over all these years, Banquet is giving away more than $1 million worth of redeemable cash prizes this February through April. Beginning February 8, look for Banquet frozen dinner meals with the “Thanks a Million” logo on the box. Each of these specially-marked packages will contain a special game piece, either one of over 16,000 redeemable cash prizes worth anywhere from $10 to $100,000, or a Banquet coupon. What’s better than that? A quick dinner on the table in minutes and a chance to find the equivalent of the “Willy Wonka” golden ticket!
Our local store didn’t have any of the Banquet boxes with the “Thanks a Million” logo, but adding an instant-win game coupon to a quick-fix dinner is a great idea! Let me know if you find one… and if you win a cash prize!
I wrote this review while participating in a blog campaign by Mom Central on behalf of Banquet and received three coupons for free Banquet meals to facilitate my candid review. Mom Central also sent me a gift card to thank me for taking the time to participate.
