A Few Good Games
Homeschooling groups, like public schools, are being hit hard by the flu & other bugs this year. Our weekly homeschool playgroup had only 4 families today, where Jody, L. and I converged on Leigh’s house for some board games. It took a little while for the kids to settle down into games but once B. suggested Munchkin, the kids were more than happy to rush inside and calm down to enjoy an afternoon of games.
GoGoGirl, KarateKid, O. and Anna played Picture Link and Scrutineyes Jr. (a huge hit!) while Emily, K., Nate and B. played Munchkin Bites. L., Jody and Leigh started a game of Bananagrams at the kitchen table and B., Emily and K. joined in a little later. Anna and I played some Slamwich and then Em took my place for a bit, and KarateKid played Dynamite with Anna just before we had to leave. It was a pretty good mix of kids and moms and games, and we had a nice afternoon.
