So, this was a very chaotic and stressful week. This morning – on our way out of town to the hospital – we joined several other homeschooling families for a very nice tour of our local printing press, which publishes 3 regional newspapers as well as other items and commercial jobs.

Another day waiting & worrying. Chris’s kidneys are not functioning well enough, so instead of the spinal surgery, tomorrow he’s headed to dialysis. He is still sedated… and putting off the surgery pushes off the time we can finally talk with him.

Tonight, no news is good news. Chris had a surgery this morning to put in a femur rod; the doctors need to do one more big surgery before waking him up. He is stable, but still in ICU.
