We’ve had a busy week! The kids and I did lots of little things all week to celebrate Halloween, which meant we weren’t following our typical routine and so I wasn’t on the computer much to blog for all my adoring fans. I do apologize!
Today’s fun, besides JediBoy’s basketball game in the morning, was the wild and wacky 2nd birthday party for BabyGirl. (Her actual birthday is next Thursday.) We rented a party room at the local children’s museum for an hour, and then stayed to play for two more hours on the museum floor. We had so much fun dancing to a cd of BabyGirl’s favorite songs and eating snacks and ice-cream-cone-cupcakes in the party room and then trying out all the fun displays in the center. The ride-on bikes, ice cream cone stand, water tables, tunnels and ramps were the biggest hits, but all the kids explored all over.
BabyGirl liked dancing to The Poopsmith Song, Conga and If All the Raindrops, plus about 20 other songs. Our “favor” was a copy of the mix cd we’d been dancing to.
BabyGirl had fun with all of our guests, especially those who made the biggest trips to see her: Pappy and Nita…
…and Grandma.
Her biggest buddy was Aunt Robin, who crawled with her through tunnels, got wet with her at the water tables, and pushed her around and around on a bike, and wins the High Energy Award of the day.
We had a fantastic time with all our friends, both inside
and out.
BabyGirl was tuckered out by the time we worked our way to the outdoor storybook garden, and she headed home. After a nice long nap, she dove into the pile of wonderful presents and has been playing nonstop ever since. We’re so blessed to have so many loved ones who came to play.
