JediBoy is so excited that it’s officially fall this week. However, instead of enjoying what I think of as the early fall season’s special moments - apple picking and falling leaves - he is so ready for Halloween!
Points to the first one to guess what the theme is this year… no fair answering if you’ve already been told by my little talker. And yes, the two costumes are related.

In other moments, we’ve had an unusual rhythm this week. JediBoy woke up with an awful cold on Monday, resulting in most of a day of, um, PBSschooling. We spent most of Wednesday out with the Chessos. The other days, he seems to get going on one subject and do a huge block of it. Monday we only did history (a return to Egypt, the middle kingdom this time); Tuesday it was math (column addition). This morning back to math (two more full lessons - measurement and perimeter) and this afternoon he wanted to do all the language-related activities for Rumpelstiltskin in our Classic Stories book. Most weeks we do a little dabble of each subject each day. I’m curious to see whether this is his new pattern, or just an odd week.
