Ug

We’re reading about the early Nomads and first villages in our history book, and we read the delightful kids’ graphic novel Ug: Boy Genius of the Stone Age by Raymond Briggs. We laughed out loud as Ug tried to convince his parents to help him make soft trousers to replace his stone ones. Today we made “cave paintings” on old paper bags - I brought out a box of charcoals but it was JediBoy’s inspiration to pick some berries and crush them for color.

You guys do the COOLEST activities!

We’re on the same chapter! But Carbon didn’t want to do cave art - he’s been banging rocks together to try and make tools! It’s very dangerous, so we had to get safety goggles, but that bothers him because they wouldn’t have had them in the “stone age”. He’s also still digging in the yard randomly, sure he’s going to discover “some archaeology”. I look forward to seeing what you do with the material - you do such cool project.
