Super Foam-erator

If you haven’t seen Betz White’s blog, you should check it out. She creates darling felted projects, and has written a book about them too, but I will be forever indebted to Betz for the simple, yet indescribably fun toy we made today: the Super Foam-erator.

All you need to do is to cut the very bottom off a plastic water bottle, then use a rubber band to attach a piece of terry cloth (we used old baby washcloths) over the open bottom. Dip it in water, then in bubble soap, and BLOW! You get long snaky pieces of bubble foam.

It is so much fun to decorate the yard with foamy bunting, and I can see the Super Foamerator being just as much fun in the bathtub.

Just remember not to breathe in through your mouth… JediBoy gulped in a huge breath in the excitement of the moment and wound up coughing out bubbles!

We played for about an hour this afternoon while BabyGirl slept, and I’m sure these easy bubble toys will become a staple of bubble fun in our house.
