JediBoy had his first dry t-ball game of the season last night. We’d spent part of the afternoon in the backyard playing catch and practicing batting (which really was me trying to practice pitching!), so he was extra-excited to get to his game.
His favorite part was playing first base during the first inning.
By the third inning, when he was part of the infield mob, he started to get bored with the whole thing, and started growling at his fans instead. (When BabyGirl sees this picture come up on the screen, she growls at it.)
He had his loyal following of fans again. One fan said, “I’ve seen this before. Don’t you have any more cookies?”
The other fan, however, was eager to show off his new skills!
I have to say, it was fun to have “the first baby.” When JediBoy was born, none of our family or friends had kids yet, and he was completely spoiled and adored. He sat on our laps as we played long games of Settlers, and he had more presents for his second birthday than he could open in one day (remember that?). He was the center of all attention. But it’s also fun having “the friend baby.” My best friend from junior high and her husband are “Aunt T. and Uncle M.” and Cousin C. and BabyGirl are only 4 months apart in age. It’s so much fun to watch them grow and play together. BabyGirl started walking at just over 13 months, and now that Cousin C. is just over 13 months, he’s walking too!
