I’m here to announce that this will be my last homeschooling blog post, ever. After much soul-searching I have decided that my son’s needs would be better met by the public school system. He needs to spend more time with his peers in a situation where he can learn more about how the world really works. He needs to find out, for once and for all, that his desires can’t always drive his actions. In school, he will finally learn how to sit still and keep quiet when the teachers are giving him important information. There’s no way I can match those opportunities here at home, and I don’t want to feel that I’ve shortchanged him in any way. I can’t live with this on my conscience any longer, and so today is the day he will head to the elementary school. Wish us luck!
