First, the picture I took from my porch a few moments ago. This is for Em, who swears she’s never really seen one… I hope you saw this one from your side of the river too.
Second, I did have a slight change of heart from this morning, and decided to continue homeschooling, being that it’s APRIL FOOL’S DAY and all. Gotcha!
We had a nice day, though it wasn’t at all what I thought it would be when I got out of bed this morning! I got a call early this morning from Heather suggesting an impromptu trip to CEC, so we were there from 11-12:45. Then the kids and I went to Leigh’s to watch her kids while she had a root canal. Paula was there too so we split the kids and I kept the three boys and BabyGirl at Leigh’s house while Paula took the two older girls to her house. We stayed late talking and didn’t get home until around 6, so we had leftovers for dinner instead of the rice crispie sushi and beef pie we’d planned. After dinner, I had a phone call from Annick, offering me some sheep eyeballs… and she wasn’t April Fooling! There’s much fun to be found in taking the day as it comes.
I also got to listen to the good NPR story on the way home about Flugel’s B-flat, which had me laughing out loud.
