Wisdom Impacted

We always find a way to have fun even when life throws us curve balls.  Today, Leigh had to have an impacted, infected wisdom tooth removed in an emergency extraction.  So I took my kids over to her house and the five of them played, more or less together, for several hours while Paula drove Leigh to the oral surgeon and home again.

Nate and JediBoy had fun playing all kinds of imaginary games upstairs and downstairs and in the basement.  Emily and Anna enjoyed doting on BabyGirl and following her all over.  All the kids had fun with the games (Apples to Apples for Kids, Race to the Roof) and toys (plastic Tinkertoys) that Paula brought over to amuse us.

Just when they were getting home, we started to see our latest winter storm hit.  It’s not a lot of snow (yet) but the roads were getting slick.  We left poor Leigh to fend for herself and made our way home.

The excitement of the morning drained the kids and they spent most of the rest of the day in quiet pursuits - BabyGirl took a nap, JediBoy watched a little tv and read a few books, drew a little and looked out the window at the falling snow.

A million more Thank You thoughts for your last minute rescue!

I have no IDEA what exactly that look on Nate’s face implies, but it’s not one I’ve EVER seen before. Scarey, and not at all flattering. It appears to have frightened the Banana into backing away.

Again, from the bottom of my drugged little heart, Thank You!

Hi, Just wondering if you received your purse yet? I meant to let you know last Thursday that I had sent it out but it slipped my mind. :o)

The kids had come over to pose for me, and the boys started making fierce fighting faces and noises… so Nate’s *intentionally* scary looking! If that’s any comfort. :)
