Goodbye, Captain Kanapa.

JediBoy is standing next to me, chomping gum and reading the Star Wars reader Queen in Disguise.  I sadly realized that because he is reading now, he now correctly pronounces Captain Panaka’s name - instead of endearingly (and enduringly!) mispronouncing it as Kanapa, for two years, despite his dad’s best efforts to emphasize the correct pronunciation.

Goodbye, Captain Kanapa.

I hate it when the last sweet reminders of their toddlerhood start to wear off.

All of the sudden, Anna is saying Cinderella instead of CinderLala. I liked CinderLala, dang it! Of course, she still calls those two famous chipmunks by their proper names, Chip and Dip, so I can forgive her for a while.

How sad, and I understand. We now have magazines in our house, not mazagines.
