Let the Snow Bring Peace

nov-19-snow-tree.jpg

We had our first feels-like-snow snowfall last night, bringing an inch or two of powdery snow.  As the snow fell, BabyGirl was restless and wakeful.  We’re not sure if this is a resurgance of her fear and separation or if she wasn’t feeling well - at this age, you can always blame teething.  But I wasn’t much help as my upset stomach kept me up most of the night.  We all feel rotten this morning, but twenty minutes out in the snow helped some.

BabyGirl wasn’t sure what to make of it, but she did enjoy watching the big fluffy flakes fall.

JediBoy was thrilled to have our first playable snow, and made the season’s first itty bitty snowman.

We came back inside to tears over oatmeal, tears over toys, and what I’m desperately hoping is an early nap.  Let the snow bring us peace.

Itty bitty snowpeople rock! We just came inside after 20 minutes also. Had a slushy snowfight- and slushy gloves, slushy socks, slushy selves. It was a good inititation, but my poor boy needs snowpants that reach below his shins, and those things called boots, and gloves that don’t leak, lol. He is in the living room now, watching PBS and eating an orange juice slushy made with REAL SNOW. Yesterday he scooped snow off the deck at Grammy’s and made a snowball and put it in her freezer for safekeeping. Unfortunately for me, his aim is noticeably better this year. But I am better at sneaking up on him. I paid the cat next door to distract him with cuteness as I tiptoed around the house and pished him square on the back. *evil cackle*
