Grubby Baby Loves Joe-lash

JediBoy helped me take these pictures, and then said: When will you put this on your blog?  Ah, how deeply different it is to grow up in this age of the internets.

But he wasn’t wrong, of course!  So here is our series of pictures entitled Grubby Baby Loves Joe-lash.  (Joe-lash is goulash made with sloppy joe sauce, beef, noodles, corn and beans.  It gets a rave review from both kids.)

My lovely Vista system recently lost my photo-editing software, and crashes whenever I try to reinstall it… so adding pictures has become a big pain, but such is my devotion to my readers (both of you) that I hard uploaded the pictures!

Joe-lash

  • 1 lb. ground beef, browned and drained

  • 2 c. noodles, cooked and drained (we use Hodgson Mill Whole Wheat Veggie Radiatore)

  • 2 c. frozen corn

  • 2 c. frozen green beans

  • 1 can sloppy joe sauce (or 8 oz. tomato paste and 8 oz. ketchup)

Mix these together, plus a little water if you need it.  Bring to a boil and then simmer about 5-10 minutes.  Serve to naked toddlers or young boys with a great supply of napkins.  Utensils optional.

The best part of Joe-lash is yet to come- or should I say come out?
CORN POOPS!
I had to say it.

Ewwwwwww…..she’s so cute and grubby and covered in dinner. Anna said, “That baby is a mess! Her Mama better give her some bath.”

We’ll have to try the joe-lash!

Love from far away (where it didn’t snow, sadly)

See there is more than 2 :)
