We had such a nice weekend, spending time with two of our favorite families! I think we’re pretty lucky. My friend T. has been my friend since way back when, the era of layered neon socks, retainers and big time crushes. A few years ago, her husband M. got a job working here with PisecoDad, so they now live just a few miles away, and her son C. is almost 8 months old. PisecoDad’s friend J. has been his friend since even before neon socks and retainers, back to the era of big grip pencils and coloring books. He and his wife M. live about two hours away, and they came to visit this weekend with their son C. (uh, too many M’s and C’s, guys!) who is 9 months old. I don’t think there are many families who live away from the towns they grew up in who are still so close with childhood friends. Today we took the three babies to get some pictures taken. We weren’t thrilled with the new photographer (they always get some not-so-perfect staff near Christmas) but we did get a couple pictures, enough to make a few cute collages.
