Pete and Re-Pete

My big problem with trying to keep the house clean is - here’s my big revelation - IT’S REPETITIVE. Ugh. Pete and Re-Pete were in a boat. Pete fell out. Who was left?

Okay. Pete and Re-Pete were in a boat. Pete fell out. Who was left?

Okay. Pete and Re-Pete…

Yes, that’s housework to me. Even listening to the eclectic cd choices my husband puts on shuffle (at least today it was all musicals: Joseph, Jesus Christ Superstar and Phantom), it’s still too dull to want to clean more than, say, once a year. Which is why my house looks the way it does!

The earlier part of our day was much more fun - it was the first day for Religious Education, and our first trial of Spirit Play at UU today. JediBoy enjoyed it, though he was a little wary as he always is in new situations. He does like ritual and repetition (why do you think the Pete and Re-Pete joke is so fresh in my mind?) so I think he’ll really enjoy the continuity of Spirit Play.

He was also pleased because his friends Emily, Nate and Anna came too, and they raced around before service in the outdoor labyrinth, and afterwards they climbed the friendly tree.
