Even though it rained last night and on and off this morning, we still had a great day spent mostly outside. This morning, we spent a casual hour at a neighborhood garage sale, coming home with four books for JediBoy, two books-on-cd for me, and three new-to-us games.
At noon, JediBoy had his third soccer game. The weather was damp, windy and cool - a big change from the last two games which were dry and hot. He had a great time and was eager to be out on the field. He even scored a goal, which is a big deal for my defensive player!
We went straight from there to a birthday party for one of his friends. The party was so much fun - held at a pavillion near the river, the kids all brought their own bikes, trikes, balls and bats and had fun playing and climbing the trees. JediBoy enjoyed biking, playing baseball, football, lacrosse, and especially graces:
The party was a nice chance to catch up with our playgroup friends, chat, share our news, and watch the kids having a grand time. And play a little football, frisbee and graces ourselves. Here’s JediBoy with the birthday boy:
