Our big plans for the afternoon - a family fun day put on by our local cooperative extension, including music, puppets, animals, pony rides, planting seeds, making snacks, etc. - were cancelled because of the rain. Big group sigh!
Instead, we spent a large chunk of the afternoon playing Electronic Outburst (JediBoy was on my team) and then watching Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, one of my longtime favorites.

Okay, that makes a mom sit up straight! So we talked again about how the slugs and snails come up out of the ground during heavy rains. We ventured outside together and gathered three slugs and three snails to put in a small container with dirt and leaves. Tomorrow he wants to make them a “proper” home. I love this picture best today (you may be able to detect my wacky mood) because he looks like a little bobble head.
