Middle Name Meme

Sara at The Learning Umbrella has tagged me for the Middle Name Meme created by Owl over at Owl Flutter.

Here are her rules:

1. You have to post these rules before you give you the facts.

2. Players, you must list one fact that is somehow relevant to your life for each letter of their middle name. If you don’t have a middle name, use the middle name you would have liked to have had.

3. When you are tagged you need to write your own blog-post containing your own middle name game facts.

4. At the end of your blog-post, you need to choose one person for each letter of your middle name to tag.

5. Don’t forget to leave them a comment telling them they’re tagged, and to read your blog.

M I consider motherhood my career - I was despondent in college trying to decide what to do for a living, until I realized that being a homeschooling mom is a living.

O I dress my son in overalls as often as he lets me get away with it. He says, Mom, they make me look like I’m two! I think that’s the appeal. He has grown up so fast, and I really miss having a baby. I just bought him a new set in size 6 at a yard sale, so he’ll just have to put up with it for another year!

R The Red River (my Red River) flows North. (I had a traumatic childhood, discovering that my Red River was not the Red River, my Grand Canyon was not the Grand Canyon, and being told by my fourth grade teacher that “The Appalachian Mountains are not real mountains.”)

G If we ever decided to start a business of our own, it would be a new & used game store. Late at night, we flesh out plans for where and how we’d run it.

A When I was little, the name I always picked for myself in all our pretend games was Alice. I’m not sure why - maybe I didn’t like having to repeat & spell my name for strangers and thought everyone would understand “Alice.” PisecoSis just took on the roles of our stuffed animals, so our main pretend world was dubbed “Alice and Snoopy.”

N We didn’t tell anyone the names we’d picked out for JediBoy before he was born - though we were convinced he would be a girl (just our guess) so when the nurse asked PisecoDad what name to write down, he said, “I have to ask my wife.”

So I must tag: Paula at Treasure Map, Leigh at Sparking Like Static, Andrea at Atypical Life, Theresa at Lapaz Farm Home Learning, Jody at The Holzhauer Times and Heather at My Family Loves It.

ITA with letter M, Motherhood and being a SAHM homeschooling mom is indeed the best thing I have ever done. I like the name Alice. When I was little I had an imaginary friend named Jenna. I thought I had made that name up all by myself and that “she” was the only Jenna in the world. Little did I know that I was growing up in a generation of Jennifer’s.

JUST took on the roles of EVERY OTHER CREATURE! Hello! You had one role. I was the entire SUPPORTING CAST.

Harrumph. Also, you deliberately didn’t tag me for this thing because my middle name has only four letters in it, I feel certain.
