I’ve been scarce in the blogosphere this weekend in part because we spent Saturday and Sunday going over every inch of our nursery (JediBoy’s room) - going through every piece of clothing so we have only the right sizes in the right seasons for both JediBoy and GuateGirl, checking every toy and resorting the Quadrilla pieces from the castle walls from the Lincoln Logs from the Thomas track, moving some of the furniture to make the room a bit more functional, and we also went through every single book in the room. We weeded out ten bags worth of books and still had more than 1000 remaining just in his room! It was a lot of books. We redid his cd collection too…
So it was a lot of work, but the good, happy-making kind.
Today JediBoy and I read together, played DDR Mario Mix together, went to run some errands, watched The Muppet Show, and played in the sunshine and snow. He also tasted Lucky Charms cereal for the first time, and before he ate his bowlful we counted and graphed the marshmallows in one cup. Yes, doesn’t that sound geeky? But we actually hadn’t done anything with any type of graphing in a long time and he thought it was very cool.
And at lunch I had the new Hormel all-natural line of lunch meats - hooray for them for putting out nitrate/nitrite/msg/gluten/preservative free cold cuts!
