We’re coming off a four-day weekend in our house… PisecoDad’s birthday was yesterday, so he took Friday and Monday off to turn the event into a mini-vacation. We had a very nice time, seeing friends and family to visit and to play games, going to JediBoy’s last soccer game, eating out several times, taking JediBoy and his friend to have their portraits done in soccer garb, watching DVD’s and playing video games, etc.
This morning, it’s back to routine.
I did notice that while we were at the portrait studio, JediBoy pointed to the glowing blue TV screen and correctly noted, “That says VIDEO.” He doesn’t have many sight words so I was impressed. Perhaps it’s the dawning of a new era… or perhaps it’s just a fluke! Ah, the mysteries of learning to read.
